There is a woman who rejoices with happiness and love
She celebrates her engagement to a man she won’t let go of
In her eyes fire and passion burn bright as she looks at the diamond glistening in the moonlight
A town away there is a woman who grieves while tears fall from her face
A once promising marriage that has now gone to waste
She cries over the man who showed her happiness and love
The same man she must now let go of
On the bridge her swollen eyes affect her sight as she tosses into the water the diamond that glistens in the moonlight
Nice theme. Love the way you connected the two stories through moonlight so perfectly. Thanks for sharing 🙂

This one definitely evoked some emotions lying dormant within. Nicely written, Loren 😉

It’s so easy to experience joy and forget that someone might actually be suffering or suffered for our happiness. Interesting how this piece reminded me to ponder on this.
Like how a child is able to smile because his or her parents worked real hard for em to get food, shelter and all. Again, nicely written!
